In Unfettered, the artists construct, deconstruct, or reconstruct materials to create the assemblages that make up this exhibition. Lescault uses mostly extruded plastic filament, sometimes combined with found objects to create her biomorphic wall pieces. Rosenstein’s works are created by breaking and tearing, then repairing the fragments that then become found tapestry.
“My art is about deconstruction and reconstruction. My process is one of breaking/tearing and repairing…weaving something new out of the fragments.” Lisa Rosenstein
“My current sculptural pieces are primarily constructed with extruded plastic filament sometimes combined with mixed media and found objects.” Liz Lescault
